I'd like to properly punctuate one of my characters being stopped in speech, followed by a sentence that explains that the character didn't have time to finish. It's going to be something like this, but I've probably gotten the punctuation and/or paragraphing a bit wrong (please submit the correct version as an answer): > "Yes, I th–" he was not allowed to finish. > > "Shut him up NOW!" the guard growled.
