I would like feedback on if this portrayal of male emotion is unrealistic. I have been told (beta readers) that men don't cry in real life (already know this is not true), he is crying too much, too fragile, should be tougher from his various tragedies, etc. I am very emotional myself (and so I know it's not approved of) but I want my character to be emotional, yet realistic (and male).
