It's entirely stylistic. In certain books neologisms will not be italicized, in others they will be. It's important to stick to it though and not change what you're doing. If you italicize one, be sure to italicize the rest. Out of most books I've read, they haven't actually been italicized, so perhaps you could go with that. Good luck!
