What makes it so important _now?_ - Who is her opponent? - What's at stake for her opponent? What makes this game so important to him? - What is their relationship? - How is their relationship changing? - What are they doing or talking about as the game progresses? Lots of opportunity for tension, conflict, and subtext there.
