I came across such statement here on Writing SE and I don't agree much with it. But what I'd like to know is _why_ would it be "impossible" to make good characters using real people. Searching about this, I found that one of the reasons that it's not recommended to use real people as characters is because "real people are _boring_ characters". But I think there's no point in taking it in an absolute way, since real people make boring characters because _the people used_ are boring, but if the people are interesting people, couldn't they be good characters? Can real people really be good characters? If not, why? * * * (Of course, disconsidering the legal implications of using real people as fictional characters. I'm asking character-wise only.)
