**Writing Challenge #3**
July 7, 2020

----

Welcome to the third installment of Writing.CD's topic challenges! Last time, the challenge was "[What the thunder said](https://writing.codidact.com/questions/275839)".

The past two challenges have both been focusing on the outdoors. For this writing challenge, I want to step out of what was done last time and try something new... and that is this round's topic: **Write about something new**.

However you want to interpret that is fair ground. This can mean somebody stepping out of their comfort zone and trying something new; it can mean something being invented; it can mean buying a new dress. Interpret it however you want.

Here are a few prompts for optional use:

> My eyes bugged out of my head. "It's huge!"

> The water sloshed around like a toddler vigorously shaking up a can of soda.

> A tearful pair of green eyes, magnified by a large pair of spectacles, rose to meet mine.

And just remember: this is a fun challenge. The point is to have some fun, perhaps stretch some creative muscles, or give a new style a try; it's not a contest or anything.

Have fun!
