Many poets and artists, including myself, when handwriting will often add art alongside their poetry to emphasize something or just add some aestheticism. Kaur isn't the first or only one to do this; a lot of young people on places like [Tumblr](https://www.google.com/search?biw=1235&bih=707&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=unRwXJG4Cce0ggePhqb4Dg&q=tumblr%20art%20poetry&oq=tumblr%20art%20poetry&gs_l=img.3..0i8i30.14764.15169..15285...0.0..0.98.365.4......1....1..gws-wiz-img.......0i7i30j0i8i7i30.ZWKIxneFSyo) do the same thing. There are no rules to poetry and if what feels right for your writing is to pair it with your art, then go right ahead. I don't see any reason why a publisher would turn you down for that.
