I am wondering if it is a good idea to include a sense of dementia in my writing. For example, it's a personal narrative where the character is traumatized for a paragraph. I feel like a good way to exude this concept is to write that one paragraph with short, choppy sentences that have a fearful connotation. Is this a good approach to take?
