Answer A: When mentioning two items in a sentence, should I specify which one I'm referring to in the next one?
Yes. Unless your following metaphor is easily related to one or the other. "She has green eyes and red hair. It looked like a wild forrest fire...." Then people can easily relate it to the hair, and not the eyes.

Question Software for plot building across multiple books
I plan to write a series of books set in the same universe, with a major plot about war, destruction, murder, killing, love, betrayal etc. But I am having problem getting the big view of my universe plot and each separate book plot. Does any one of you know of a program, tool, anything that can help...
