Question | — |
Does each writer have a unique writing style? I admire the writing style of many other writers and I try to emulate them, but most of the time it doesn't turn out how I want it to. Is this because it's not uniquely my own style, but rather forcing myself to write similar as authors that I admire? (more) |

Question | — |
Why is it that when I get to the end of writing my book, I get discombobulated and want to give up? I've noticed this about most of the books I write, except for my short stories/novellas. I wrote a scene that the majority of my readers loved. How do I get back to that place while writing my new book? I wrote a scene that I put my heart and soul into. It was received well by most of my readers, but I'm struggling with crafting a new scene for a book I'm currently writing. Here's some comments from my beta readers on the first scene in which I was able to captivate my audience: > "OMG I love how y... (more) |

Question | — |
How can I add depth to my story or how do I determine if my story already has depth? I am new to writing. I wrote a lot when I was a kid and teen. I wrote my first book at 6 and then again in high school. I was also in journalism. After high school, life happened. I took an almost 20 year break, so I consider myself "new". I'm currently writing a YA Paranormal, but I'm unsure if it's... (more) |
