I'm about to publish the English translation of my novel, originally written in Spanish. In the original Spanish edition I thank my "experimental readers", and especially someone who did a thorough editing pass on the text. I'm not sure how to handle this in the acknowledgements section of the English edition. Thanking the original readers still makes sense because they pointed out plot holes and such that are relevant in both languages, but what about the Spanish fixes? That is completely irrelevant to the English edition. Should I thank him anyway (specifying "in the original Spanish") or remove the mention from the English edition? Or maybe thank him as one of the readers without emphasizing the language editing aspect?
